Weill Medical School in New York is an excellent place to look for a summer research opportunity.

Weill Medical hosts a number of summer programs for students interested in bio-medical research, and individual faculty host students in their labs. A couple of opportunities to explore are below:

Advancing Cornell Career Experiences for Science Students (ACCESS)

This is an in-person summer internship program designed for undergraduate students to enhance their understanding of modern biology and medical research. Interns gain hands-on experience in a biomedical research laboratory and are encouraged to apply to PhD programs. Selected students are placed in laboratories at the Weill Cornell Medicine or the Sloan Kettering Institute under the mentorship of experienced faculty members.

Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program

The Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program is designed to provide 25-27 premedical students with experiential research training, meaningful insights into the field of medicine, and enhanced knowledge of the conditions and policies impacting the health of traditionally underserved populations.
